We are thrilled to welcome Dakota Schuetz, better known in the scooter world as Kota. Born on 19 March 1996, Dakota is a professional freestyle scooter rider and one of the most accomplished athletes in the sport’s history. He is a three-time ISA Scooter World Champion (2012, 2013, 2014) and one of only two people to have completed all 40 tricks in Tricknology, a benchmark list of the sport’s most challenging moves — with only one trick taking him more than a single attempt.

Dakota is also the second rider ever to land a documented 1080 on a scooter, following Tyler Bonner’s groundbreaking achievement in 2010. By 2016, he held the record for the most ISA World Championship wins, earning him a place in the Guinness Book of World Records. His competitive success didn’t stop there — in 2018, he claimed victory at the FISE World Series Chengdu.

With a career built on skill, determination, and a drive to push the limits of what’s possible on two wheels, Dakota brings a wealth of riding expertise to everything he does — including his experience with the iScooter iX7Pro Electric Scooter.

iScooter iX7Pro Electric Scooter Reviews

As someone who’s spent the better part of my life on two wheels, I know exactly what it takes for a scooter to truly stand out. I’ve tested countless models over the years — from lightweight freestyle setups to powerful long-range beasts — and the iScooter iX7Pro immediately caught my attention. It’s built for riders who demand both performance and reliability, and I couldn’t wait to put it through its paces.

First Impressions

The moment I unfolded the iX7Pro, I could feel the quality in its magnesium alloy frame. At 29.7 kg, it’s not exactly a featherweight, but that’s a small trade-off for the level of power and stability it offers. The off-road tubeless 10-inch tyres looked ready to eat up tarmac and trails alike, and the dual suspension setup promised a smooth ride even over rough ground.

The folding mechanism is straightforward — three simple steps and it’s compact enough to slot into a car boot. This is a big win for anyone who needs a serious commuter or adventure scooter without giving up portability.

Performance on the Road

Let’s talk speed — this thing can hit 38 mph (60 km/h) in Dual-Wheel Drive mode. As a rider who’s used to adrenaline, I still found the acceleration punchy and exciting. The rear-wheel drive modes give you a great balance between speed and battery conservation, with four levels ranging from 12 mph to 31 mph.

On my first ride, I took it up a steep 25% gradient hill. The 2000 W motor handled it without hesitation. It’s a different kind of thrill from freestyle scootering — instead of throwing tricks, you’re conquering terrain and feeling the raw torque push you forward.

Range and Battery

With its 48V 17.5Ah 840Wh battery, I managed close to the advertised 50 miles (80 km) range when riding in lower speed modes and keeping my acceleration smooth. Of course, if you’re hammering it at top speed, you’ll burn through the battery faster, but that’s to be expected. The Smart Battery Management System keeps everything safe, preventing overheating or overcharging. Charging takes 7–9 hours, so I tend to plug it in overnight and it’s ready to roll in the morning.

Ride Comfort and Control

The dual front and rear suspension really makes a difference. Whether I was cruising on smooth paths or tackling gravel tracks, the shocks absorbed most of the chatter. The braking system — front and rear disc brakes with electronic assist — felt sharp and dependable, even when I needed to stop quickly from higher speeds.

The full-colour dashboard is another highlight. You can see everything at a glance — speed, battery, mode, trip distance, even maintenance alerts. And with cruise control, longer rides become incredibly comfortable.

Safety and Lighting

Visibility is key, especially when riding at night. The iX7Pro has bright front and rear LED lights, a flashing brake light, turn indicators, and even ambient lighting for style and visibility. I like the fact that it doesn’t just look good, but also keeps you seen in traffic.

Who It’s For

If you’re looking for a scooter that’s purely for casual weekend rides, the iX7Pro might be overkill. But if you want serious power, excellent range, and the ability to take on both city streets and off-road paths, this is a machine that delivers. It’s ideal for riders 14+ and can handle up to 150 kg, which makes it versatile for a wide range of users.

Final Verdict

The iScooter iX7Pro is a powerhouse that blends speed, stability, and style. It’s built for riders who want to push limits — whether that’s in distance, speed, or terrain. Coming from a freestyle background, I appreciate how this scooter gives me the same rush I get from competition, but in a completely different way. It’s not about tricks here; it’s about conquering the road.

If you’re ready for a ride that can keep up with your ambitions, the iX7Pro should be at the top of your list.
