iScooter i10Plus/i9Max 800W Electric Scooter Reviews
I’ve been testing the iScooter i10 Plus, and after riding it for a few weeks, I’m ready to share my thoughts. Priced at less than £400, it promises a powerful ride at an accessible price, but does it deliver? Here’s what I found.
Power and Performance
Right off the bat, the 800 W motor impressed me. Accelerating up to 25 mph (40 km/h) felt smooth, and climbing moderate hills didn’t slow me down much. On a full charge, the i10 Plus covers around 31 miles (50 km), which is more than enough for most daily commutes. The 17.5Ah (630Wh) battery charges reasonably quickly and feels reliable, although longer rides will obviously eat into the range.
Ride Comfort
The ride is incredibly comfortable thanks to the front and rear double suspension. Combined with the pneumatic tyres, I barely felt bumps or uneven surfaces. Even on cobbled streets, it handled surprisingly well, making the ride less jarring than other scooters I’ve tested in this price range.
Design and Build
At 44 lbs (20 kg), the i10 Plus is heavier than some other commuter scooters, but it feels solid rather than cumbersome. Its IP54 rating gives peace of mind against splashes and light rain, which is perfect for unpredictable British weather. The 10’’ wheels offer stability, and I appreciated the front and rear disc brakes, complemented by an electronic brake—stopping is quick and reassuring.
Safety and Features
Safety is well thought out. I particularly liked the headlight, brake light, and turn signals, which make riding at night or in traffic much safer. The scooter can carry up to 264 lbs (120 kg), which should suit most riders comfortably.
Who’s it for
The iScooter i10 Plus is perfect for:
-
Daily commuters who want a reliable and smooth ride.
-
Beginners and intermediate riders looking for safety features like lights, signals, and solid brakes.
-
Weekend riders who enjoy longer rides thanks to the decent range of 31 miles (50 km).
-
Anyone who wants a sturdy, comfortable scooter that handles rough city streets and light off-road paths.
Dimensions and Practicality
Measuring 118 x 52 x 118 cm, the scooter isn’t the most compact, but it folds reasonably well for storage or transport. The rear suspension and pneumatic tyres mean it’s not just a commuter scooter—it’s versatile enough for longer weekend rides.
Overall Verdict
For less than £400, the iScooter i10 Plus is a fantastic value. It combines strong performance, excellent suspension, and solid safety features into one accessible package. If you want a reliable, comfortable, and well-built e-scooter without breaking the bank, this one is definitely worth considering.
Pros:
-
Strong 800 W motor
-
Smooth ride with double suspension
-
Good battery range (31 miles / 50 km)
-
Safety lights and signals
-
Reliable braking system
I’d happily recommend the i10 Plus to anyone looking for a mid-range e-scooter that doesn’t compromise on comfort or performance.
